Advanced practice provider joins Goshen Center for Cancer Care
Heather Whitehead, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, has joined the Interventional Pulmonology Department at Goshen Center for Cancer Care. She works directly with Dr. Muhammad “Sammy” Bostaji to provide patient care and coordinate individual treatment plans. She assists with treatment of cancer and other diseases in the lungs, esophagus and chest.
In 2019, Heather joined Goshen Health as a family nurse practitioner with Urgent Care Goshen Physicians. During her nursing career, she has also cared for patients with chronic lung disease in the intensive care unit.
“Heather brings extensive experience in caring for patients with breathing diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sleep apnea and asthma,” said Randy Christophel, Goshen Health President and Chief Executive Officer. “Her holistic approach encourages patients to take an active role in making decisions about their care.”
Heather received her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University South Bend.
