Goshen Health proudly recognizes Madison Cavanaugh, RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer), as the recipient of The Gardener Award, an honor given to Colleagues who make an extraordinary impact on patients, families and fellow team members through their dedication, professionalism and compassionate care.

Cavanaugh was nominated by Sierra Smith, who shared that Madison's presence was both professional and comforting. The Smith family shared that Madison consistently demonstrated a patient-first approach, taking the time to listen, answer questions and provide reassurance when it was needed most. Madison's commitment to delivering both expert guidance and heartfelt support has earned the admiration of patients, families and Colleagues alike.

"Madison was very thorough about the ultrasound. She made sure that I felt like I was in control and very aware of everything," Sierra wrote. "She couldn’t say anything about the ultrasound, but just her presence made us feel calm. We talked about our faith and she was just so amazing.”

Whether assisting patients, supporting Colleagues or helping navigate complex situations, Cavanaugh brings an empathetic demeanor to every interaction. Her dedication reflects the culture of compassion and excellence that defines Goshen Health.

"It is an extreme honor and privilege to care for the people in my community," said Cavanaugh.

The Gardener Award recognizes Colleagues whose contributions directly support patient care and strengthen the healthcare experience. Recipients are selected for their ability to serve as role models through collaboration, positivity and a commitment to excellence.
