Growing healthier communities through mobile gardens
Goshen Health recently launched a mobile garden project with grant funding from the Indiana Department of Health to increase access to healthy foods in vulnerable areas. The seven garden units are equipped with basic materials and tools needed to successfully start container gardening & pots, soil, seeds, plants, hand tools and more.
Interventional pulmonologist joins Goshen Center for Cancer Care
Goshen Center for Cancer Care has expanded its team of board certified specialists with the addition of Interventional Pulmonologist Muhammad “Sammy” Bostaji, MD. Dr. Bostaji provides the most advanced minimally invasive procedures to diagnose patients with diseases or disorders of the lungs, airways, esophagus and chest. He is specially trained in endoscopic procedures to remove blockages from the lung airways.

Goshen Orthopedics hosts launch event for robotic-assisted joint replacement
Goshen Orthopedics now has a robot to assist surgeons with knee and hip replacement. To celebrate this advanced technology, Goshen Orthopedics is hosting a launch event on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Goshen Hospital in the Arbor Conference Center. The event is open to the public and will include an educational session, robot name reveal, refreshments and gift basket raffle drawings.

The Summer Health Lunch Bunch program aims to improve the health of the community by providing interactive health education to students and families at targeted summer feeding sites. More than 6,500 students have participated in the program since it began.
Goshen Hospital receives high marks from inpatients
Goshen Hospital’s inpatients consistently rated the hospital higher than the ratings received by other peer hospitals, when compared to a database of over 2,300 hospitals across the nation. Patients were asked questions about the hospital environment, communication with nurses and doctors, response of hospital staff, communication about medications and discharge information.
