His ultimate goal for his patients is a successful return to work, sports or a desired level of physical activity. A former semi-professional soccer player, Dr. Cuddeback is passionate about physical fitness and sports. He was captain of his university men’s club soccer team, has coached a girls’ high school soccer team and been assistant coach for a men’s varsity soccer team during medical school. In his free time, he also enjoys carpentry, traveling, music and movies.
Philosophy of Care
Regardless of whether a patient’s pain or injury requires conservative, non-operative intervention or a surgical procedure, Dr. Cuddeback tailors his treatment plan to best fit each patient and his or her lifestyle. His philosophy is that each patient is a whole person with individual needs. He believes open communication and mutual respect are the cornerstones of a successful doctor-patient relationship.
Dr. Cuddeback treats both surgical and non-surgical pain and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. He is trained to diagnose and treat chronic pain in all joints, specifically the shoulder, hip, knee and ankle. He performs total joint replacements, treats acute injuries in the upper and lower extremities as well as performs arthroscopic procedures in the shoulder, knee and ankle. He also performs various foot and ankle procedures.
Dr. Cuddeback will also see patients with back pain; however, he does not offer surgical intervention for the back. He is currently working on publishing a novel approach to treating non-reconstructible distal tibia fractures.
